Cross-Border Freight Between Canada and the U.S.
Canada to U.S. and U.S. to Canada moves, coordinated with the carrier and your customs broker so paperwork is ready at the line.
What Cross-Border actually means
Southbound and northbound freight, with the border treated as a planned step rather than a surprise. We line up the carrier's authority and bonding, make sure the commercial invoice and any certificates reach your customs broker before the truck arrives at the crossing, and pick the port of entry that suits the lane. Most cross-border delays come from paperwork that arrived late, not from the crossing itself.

Cross-Border, answered
The questions shippers ask before booking this service. If yours is not here, call dispatch and ask.
Yes, and the broker is a separate party from us. They clear the goods; we move them and get the broker what they need in time to file. If you do not have a broker, say so early and we will make sure that step is not the one holding up the truck.
PAPS is the Pre-Arrival Processing System for freight entering the United States; PARS is the Canadian equivalent for freight entering Canada. Each is a barcode on the paperwork that lets the broker file before the truck reaches the crossing, rather than the truck waiting in line while it happens.
A commercial invoice, a packing list, the bill of lading, and the customs entry the broker files. Some commodities need more than that, food, alcohol, plants and regulated goods each carry their own requirements, so tell us what is on the pallet early.
For freight out of the Fraser Valley it is usually Huntingdon/Sumas or Pacific Highway. Which one depends on the destination, the hours each is open, and how the queues are running that day.
